Enjoy a Front Row Seat When Bon Appétit Presents Chicago Gourmet 2019

It seems that each year, Chicago Gourmet, arguably the best food and wine extravaganza you’ll ever experience, exceeds expectations. As a regular attendee, I’m already looking forward to September 27-29 when Bon Appétit presents this year’s Chicago Gourmet 2019 at Millennium Park.  Aptly named Lights, Camera, Napkins! the producers are already setting the stage and marking the script with plans to excite and please the most discerning palates with exceptional food, beer, cocktail and wine offerings. It’s almost time to cue those bright lights, never-blinking cameras and more than a few napkins as food and entertainment take center stage. A Star-Studded Cast Will Dazzle at Chicago Gourmet 2019

Enticed? Cooking demonstrations by world renown chefs, wine and mixology seminars led by Master Sommeliers and beverage masters and gourmet tastings of some of the best bites around are just a few of the choices available to fortunate ticket holders.

It’s always a knowledge/mind-bending experience to attend the lively and entertaining demonstrations presented by celebrity chefs (click here to see the lineup so far) at the Millennium Park Pritzker Pavilion and try to snap a few selfies with each (because I’ve done just that). The Great Lawn is the setting for a plethora of tents where more than a few talented culinary greats rustle up some of the most delectable small bites imaginable and a bounty of producers of wines, beers and spirits pour their recently released libations for perfect pairings.

Once satiated, join me in attending a master class or wine seminar hosted by one of my favorite sommeliers (click here to discover who has already joined the crew). Switch the Spotlight to the Grand Cru

In full disclosure, I’m usually the first to be in line for the Grand Cru to be held both Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29 from 2:00-4:00pm at the Harris Rooftop Theatre. Each year, I take advantage of exclusive tastings of some of the most stunning wines from around the world and have the opportunity to have one-to-one conversations with Master Sommeliers and winery representatives who share fascinating information and their love of the grape. Of course, award-winning chefs are close by with creative food pairings and you, too, can join me. To attend the memorable Grand Cru event, you’ll need a separate ticket as well as a Chicago Gourmet Main Event ticket. Don’t Miss the Dress Rehearsal!

If the aforementioned offerings aren’t enough to prompt more than a few “Bravos!” for Chicago Gourmet, start the weekend early at the Hamburger Hop on Friday, September 27. Located at the Harris Theatre Rooftop, you’ll find a bounty of burgers, chilled brews and stunning views of the Chicago skyline. Later, continue the excitement with the Late-Night Gourmet after party. Who needs sleep? It’s Chicago Gourmet 2019 weekend!!
