Everyone feels “ho-hum” about something at some point, right? Same show on the telly night after night even though it’s absolutely binge-worthy? Same recipe for lasagna over and over even though it’s delicious? Same pair of jeans with the go-to top worn at all times despite the fact that it looks great? I get it! And how about the wine? Aren’t some of us tired of sipping the same Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling or Pinot Grigio whenever we go out? Their flavors are predictable, but truly, there are alternatives from which to choose.

The Crush On This team of Allison Levine from Please the Palate, Christine Campbell of Girls Go Grape et moi have found interesting alternatives to our favorite white wines. In fact, we did the research so that all you have to do is taste for yourself! Enjoy each episode below, let me know your thoughts and subscribe to our channel here!

Sauvignon Blanc or…?

Do you like Sauvignon Blanc? Do you only drink Sauvignon Blanc? Are you stuck? Join the Crush On This crew as we explore alternatives to Sauvignon Blanc. Discover the world of aromatic grapes with us because if you like Sauvignon Blanc, we think you will like these other grape varieties, too!

Chardonnay or…?

One of the world’s most popular wines, Chardonnay, is a blank canvas for winemakers to work with. The varied winemaking choices result in mineral-driven, crisp, lean wines to full bodied, voluptuous and complex. Flavors of Chardonnay run the spectrum from bright citrus notes to buttered popcorn. If you enjoy Chardonnay, try looking for other grape varieties that tick the box on the flavor profile you prefer.

Pinot Grigio or…?

Pinot Grigio has taken the wine world by storm. Light and delicately flavored, Pinot Grigio has become a crowd favorite. Flavors of Pinot Grigio often include notes of pear, apple, lemon, lime, nectarine, jasmine and dry hay. If you enjoy Pinot Grigio, try looking for other grape varieties that come very close to the flavor profile you prefer.

Riesling or…?

Brightness. Acidity. Aromatics. Versatility. These are descriptors for Riesling, one of the most famous white grapes in the world. When I ask friends what they love about Riesling, they say “everything.” If you’re a fan of Riesling, we have three other suggestions for you to try.

Cheers! ~ Cindy
