CHILL10-1049-med resIt may be chilly in Chicago as I write this, but all will be warm and deliciously comfortable at the Merchandise Mart at LuxeHome CHILL on November 14.  LuxeHome in partnership with Wine Spectator and the Tribune Media Group is once again hosting this city’s most fabulous wine and culinary event  to benefit three area organizations.  The Respiratory Health Association, Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras, and the Lynn Sage Foundation will receive 50% of the proceeds from ticket sales purchased by philanthropic wine lovers and foodies.  During the past six years, over $500,000 has been raised at the CHILL event!  I attended last year and will do so again…you must join me!

More than 150 world renowned wines paired with gourmet food prepared by 40 distinguished chefs are offered in LuxeHome’s 30 kitchen and bath boutiques.  Chefs hail from outstanding restaurants including Sunda New Asian, The Florentine, Café des Architectes, The Capital Grille, Nacional 27, Sixteen, Roka Akor, Phil Stefani’s, David Burke’s Primehouse, Coq d’Or at the Drake, and many, many more.

Open to the public and located on the first floor of the world famous Merchandise Mart, the CHILL’s Main Event is from 6-8:30pm.  A VIP Reception will be held from 5-6pm to benefit Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras and will feature tastings from Chef Federico Comacchio of Coco Pazzo and GE Monogram Executive Chef, Jon Liddell.  Premium wines selected by those from Wine Spectator will be featured.

Of course there will be music and entertainment during the course of the event.  And another favorite portion of the evening?  A fabulous Silent Auction and raffle featuring wine and restaurant packages donated by participating wineries, distributors, restaurants and more will benefit the Respiratory Health Association.  I will definitely be making the rounds of the tables!

“We are delighted to partner with the CHILL event. Lung diseases affect millions of people each year, and many of them are our friends, neighbors and family members,” said Joel Africk, President and Chief Executive Officer of Respiratory Health Association. “CHILL offers a great opportunity for us to raise awareness about lung disease and to raise money to support local research and programs to help people living with lung cancer, COPD, asthma and other lung diseases.”

The Lynn Sage Foundation is very honored to be a beneficiary of CHILL again in 2013,” added Laura Sage, co-founder The Lynn Sage Foundation. “LuxeHome, Wine Spectator and the Tribune Media Group are such generous partners and host an outstanding party unparalleled in Chicago. We are very grateful for their contribution to local breast cancer researchers.”

Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras is thrilled and honored to benefit from our fourth year at CHILL, the best wine and culinary event in Chicago,” said Allen Tinkham, CYSO Music Director and CHILL Committee Co-chair.  “Like gourmet food with the right wine, CHILL and CYSO are a perfect pairing, bringing together premier chefs and wineries to benefit the preeminent youth orchestra program in the country. The funds raised from CHILL will help CYSO to ensure that Chicago’s youth have access to excellent music training and education.”

Tickets are $115 for the Main Event from 6-8:30pm and $175 for the VIP Wine Tasting Reception from 5-6pm.  They can be purchased online at LuxeHome by phone at 312.527.4691.

Look for me sipping a wonderful wine, savoring some delectable food, and making my way around the Silent Auction tables!!

Cheers to a wonderful charity event in Chicago~ Cindy
